What you will discover

Our international internship program INTERNational@DB Schenker Logistics offers dedicated students the opportunity to gain an insight into the challenging projects in an international environment. Will you be making coffee and running errands? Not here! Each intern is thoroughly integrated in the team and works both in a supporting role as well as autonomously on their own projects. You will learn all about the logistics industry in daily business and will encounter new challenges faced on a daily basis.

Of course you will be remunerated for your work at DB Schenker. The exact amount will be calculated according to the standard salary rates of the respective countries.

Our international internships provide you with the opportunity to gain initial work experience abroad for six months. We regularly offer challenging internship positions in:

  • Australia (regular vacancies)
  • USA (start dates in March and September)
  • Indonesia

New internship positions are published approximately three months before their starting date in our Career Market.

What do you need?

We are looking for motivated and committed students for our internship program INTERNational@DB Schenker Logistics. Your qualifications, previous work experience and personality are the key factors. The pre-requisites are:

  • You are enrolled as a student for the entire duration of the internship
  • You have good study grades and have logistics, economics or a comparable subject as your core subject 
  • You are fully available for six months
  • Initial practical work experience preferred
  • You possess very good English- and basic German skills. Other language skills are country-dependent
  • You have a very high level of intercultural competence
  • You are confident in taking initiative
  • You have good communication skills
  • You are proficient in MS Office
The Application Process

After we have approved your application we will invite you to take part in a telephone interview which will either be conducted by the HR Head Office in Essen or directly with the colleagues in the branch you have applied to.

During the telephone interview you will have the opportunity to clarify any issues or questions you may have. If the telephone interview is successful you will be officially offered the internship.

Your covering letter and CV should be in English. Certificates and references can be submitted in their original language.

When writing the application please make sure to refer specifically to the position you are applying for.
